The resurfacing of WPOA's walking paths began on July 7th. The new effort started on the gravel path running beside Monocan Drive at the entrance to Stoney Creek (connecting the Farmers Market area to the intersection of Stoney Creek East and West).
The process is similar to what is done on the secondary streets in the community. The major difference being the specialized equipment used for narrow path applications. The resulting smoother, more attractive surface will also be easier and less expensive to maintain than standard asphalt.
If all goes according to plan, this will be the way WPOA maintains its walking paths, eventually replacing all the old, unattractive, broken asphalt and gravel surface paths.
