The show is schmaltzy, but knowingly so. It's affectionate, corny, dewy-eyed, dreamy, effusive, gushy, nostalgic, colorful, romantic, and sappy. In other words, like Christmas fun when it's done right. This show is done right.

This week the leadership of the REIT financing Wintergreen Resort announced they have looked afresh at where they want to put their money. The result: EPR Properties wants to do more with “experiential real estate.”

If you had your own private ski resort, there would be no bother with ski passes. You'd just slap the snowboard to your feet or snap the skis on your boots and go. This winter, hitting the slopes at Wintergreen will move closer to that kind of experience.
